A revelation--My kids don't care how they look for Halloween. All that matters at this age is what they think they look like. So the fact that Jadon's costume is Noelle's thermals plus Jason's ski mask, and Noelle's costume is a black skirt, a borrowed headband, and eyeliner whiskers never bothered them.
Another revelation: Kids who can't have fun without making a mess will suddenly gauff at the idea of sticking their hands in a pumpkin. I knew that so I carved the pumpkins while they watched. Somehow we ended up will pumpkin doppleganger of what the kids were dressed as--though you can't tell on the ninja because by the time we got a picture of the green pumpkin he was looking a little voodoo.
Anyone else have problems keeping costumes clean with Halloween being a weeklong event of parades, parties, and trunk or treats?

Trunk or Treat time
Oh look! A costume change. See revelation #1. Also note: Snoze and drool on black costume is not the sharpest look.
Random Camel in a witches hat. Typical Idaho trunk or treat...thing...Obviously.
My friends cute family costume.

I love all the pictures...and yes, the mom always ends up pulling out the pumpkin guts, suddenly things get squishy and squeemish. Maybe there needs to be gut prep training before the big carving day. Whatever the costume everyone looks cute!
