Scenes from "This is my Life"

Scene: Jason and Lindsey unpacking at their new apartment. Jason pauses and looks around with a look of pleasure on his face.
Jason: "I think I am going to like it here. It feels more like home."
Lindsey raises her eyebrows thinking.
Lindsey: "That would be just like us to not feel comfortable in a nice apartment and to feel totally at home in this."

Later as Jason finishes installing the 60 pound microwave.
Jason: "This microwave actually looks good in this kitchen."
Lindsey rolling eyes and laughing
Lindsey: "That's because they were made in the same year. The 40's. Most people have a tv the size of our microwave. We have a tv the size of most peoples microwaves."


Scene: Sunday morning. Lindsey is opening all boxes in the house trying to find shoes, baby wipes, and a hair straightener. 10 minutes after church has started she still hasn't found the straightener. Jason and Lindsey leave the house without finding the straightener. Scene begins on the way to the car.
Lindsey: "Tell me honestly, does my hair look bad."
Jason: "It looks creative."
Lindsey: "So it looks bad."
Jason: "Don't worry. At least when you look this nerdy people are more likely to know who you are married to."


Scene: Lindsey unpacking Noelle's toys. Noelle sees her cat "Henry" and squeals with delight. She bounces up and down until her mom hands it to her. She then gives it a big hug.
Lindsey: "Isn't it interesting how we come programed to want to nurture things. She loves her Henry cat so much"
Lindsey turns to finish unpacking. Jason watches as Noelle finishes hugging Henry so that she can chew on his tail like it was corn on the cob. This is accompanied by baby tyrannosaurus noises.
Jason: "If that is nurture the last thing Noelle needs is a little brother or sister."
